In 1959, Bishop Moynagh wrote to the Provincial of the Irish Province requesting the Vincentians to come serve in the Diocese of Calabar, Nigeria. In response to this request, Fathers Frank Mullan, Harry Morrin, and Paddy Hughes were sent to Calabar, they arrived in November 1960. The work of these Irish Vincentian Missionaries yielded immense fruits. Guided by Providence “the Little Company” has expanded in membership, grown into a Province and has established missions in many parts of the country, parts of Africa, Europe and America.
